NSW:Driver fined for baby sitting on car floor

A man's set to lose his licence after he was allegedly caught driving in western Sydney
with his baby sitting on the floor of his car.

Police stopped the man in Blacktown yesterday afternoon for a random breath test.

Officers say they discovered an 11-month-old baby sitting on the floor of the front
passenger seat between the legs of its mother, as well as a two-year-old sitting unrestrained
in a baby seat in the back of the car.

The 46-year-old man has been given infringement notices for driving with a passenger
over six months and under four years old not restrained, as well as one for not displaying
his P-plates.

He faces more than 700 dollars worth of fines and is due to lose 14 points, with double
demerits applying for the restraint offences.
